Adoption is a lifetime commitment, so please be absolutely certain that you are currently ready to adopt before applying. Please do not apply if you are not ready to take on the responsibility of another family member for the rest of their life, which can be upwards of 15 years.
The Adoption Application
Please click here to submit an application. Please answer every question in detail. If a question does not apply to you, please write not applicable or n/a in the answer box. Our application process may seem long and intrusive, but our number one priority is the long term safety and happiness of our dogs. By screening applicants thoroughly, we are able to make the best possible match for each individual dog.
The Adoption Process
We do our best to review applications as soon as possible. Home ownership or landlord permission will be verified as well as veterinary and personal references checked. If everything checks out, you will be contacted to schedule a home visit. We ask that every member of the family be present during the home visit. If the home visit goes well, a meet and greet will be scheduled with the dog you are interested in. If it feels like a match at the meet and greet, we will arrange for a sleepover to give you time to get to know each other better and make sure it’s a good fit for everyone before making the adoption official.
The Adoption Donation
The adoption donation ranges from $200 – $300. This pales in comparison to the expenses we incur getting each dog ready for their forever family. Additional donations are always greatly needed and appreciated.
